Jersey Shore makes woman be seen as a sexual object

Yesterday, I was watching Jersey Shore with my brother and I since we are now studying how media impacts our lives, I got shocked with some of the things I saw on the show.
First, while I was watching the reality show, I could not avoid noticing the explicit message that the male characters in Jersey Shore teach the viewers--that the most important thing is to 'get laid' with the most amount of girls as possible and the goal of women is to compete with other woman to see who is the sexiest and the hottest.
Taking this into consideration, TV shows, a type of media, is negatively affecting our society because it is trivializing sex making it seem as a competition and it is conveying the message that all that matters in a women is their looks--not their brain.
Besides, reality TV shows such as Jersey Shore affect kids and teenagers in many other negative ways. For example, the show teaches teenagers that the only way to have fun is by drinking--or having sex--, the male characters use terms like 'grenade' to describe women, and they also solve every problem through fighting.

Here we see some ways of how this particular type of media negatively affects society; yet, the focus is on how media shows men that women are play things, eye candy and sexual objects. In other words, media makes woman be seen as a sexual object

Jersey Shore portrays women as objects to gratify men’s sexual lusts.
